Coquitlam Environmental Volunteers

Community volunteers help to protect and enhance the Coquitlam’s natural environment. Since 2004, the City has recognized more than 75 groups and hundreds of volunteers who take on initiatives year-round that support environmental sustainability.

Residents with an interest in the environment are encouraged to sign up as a City volunteer to take part in activities such as invasive plant removal, tree planting, helping at environmental events and wearing the City’s bear and salmon mascot costumes – details are available at coquitlam.ca/volunteer.

Environmental Volunteer Opportunities

Coquitlam residents with an interest in volunteering have a number of opportunities and are encouraged to sign up on our Volunteer Opportunities page.

Those who wish to take part in activities such as invasive plant removal from City parks, tree planting, helping at environmental events, and wearing the City’s bear and salmon mascot costumes can find those specific options and more in the Adopt-a-Park section.

The City also has a popular Adopt-a-Street Program.
